El Arca de Nicolas - San Juan Cosalá

This is the restaurant on the lake, which has all animal socks in the front. Went with a party of six, each of us had another dish, nobody was impressed. Service was sufficient, and the restaurant offers free boat trips for its customers. Besides that, it's nothing special except the view that's wonderful. But there are other restaurants that are better and offer a similar view.

When entering the premises you will be welcomed by a variety of animal statues placed in a beautiful garden. This leads you down to the Seetisches, which Diners offer an exquisite panorama of the lake. The cheap offers (mostly seafood) were delicious and the service friendly, but a tad slow. In any case a deliciously picturesque way to a sunny day in the afternoon.

We went from Ajijic on a Monday afternoon towards San Juan Cosala and decided to stop here for lunch. We had a table overlooking the lake and enjoy bird watching. We ordered the Garnelenburger and Pommes. It was beautifully plated with a small salad and a piece of watermelon, unfortunately they were not fresh. But the burger was delicious with shrimps and lots of cheese on a soft, squishy bungalow. The lemonade was also good. Service was excellent. The restaurant is aimed at families with a playground of animal statues. It is probably a popular place on weekends with families from Guadalajara as it is part of the Enklave restaurant on the water. It was very expensive for what we got; we should have gone a little further.
