San Juan Smokehouse

In the rule we need to get non-Carnivores out of the way to get our food. this place was directly in the main strip and well settled during the day (la placita is a better night especially for millennials). there was music that played the front and p dance, which increases the experience.

We ordered the avocado jackfruit, the brisket appetizer, mac n cheeze, smashed kartoffels. the best part was the koleslawin. it came under the avocado. I suggest ordering a page of it. I really liked the mac n cheeze and smashed kartoffel, and also my son. next time I would add some salt and pfeffer to the potatoes. the avocado was super fresh and big. my son and I were not great fans the brisket (good fkavor, but it was too chew for me), but my man loved it. overall, eating was good, not unbelievable. I'm not supposed to go back while I'm on vacation. worth a try if they like bbq a lot.

Super fun spot in the heart of san juan nightlife, they have several vegan options. I have the jackfruit “Bratze”, it has the trick to the time!

Loving this place! I wish I would have come here early in my trip. The food is very good. Lots of vegan comfort foods. I tried the jackfruit sliders . Fun to sit outside at night and watch the crowd (good vibe). Not 100% vegan but large vegan menu. (In the corner .. near the public restrooms Updated from previous review on 2022-02-19

It seems crazy that a smokehouse would have such great vegan options, but wow! The food was good not great but I was so impressed that they even had it! I got the brisket sandwich and Mac and cheese and both were good. I’d stop back if I were in the area. It’s also a really cool part of town.
