Gallo Negro - San Juan

Arguably my favorite restaurant in Puerto Rico. María is a smart, inventive chef trained in the French Culinary Institute and Johnny, her brother, who runs the restaurant, has created a cozy, unpretentious yet sleek space with enough of a hipster vibe, mixed in with Santurces’ working class roots. Angel and Humberto are both first rate mixologists and service is generally excellent. Not to be missed.

The place does not look fancy from the outside, but the food is very flavorful and creative. Very impressed by the cocktails. Last but not least, the service was impeccable

Went last night for the first time for a bite and found it to be a delightful and unexpected surprise! Great service, exquisite menu, and ambient tone. I'll be returning with friends.
