Braise Restaurant Bar - San Jose

We wanted to try Braise after hear positive reviews by our friends. My wife called and reserved a outdoor table for her birthday. When we arrived there were tables open outdoors, but Braise had no more heaters so we had to move inside. We got seated and got a glass of water each. We wanted a drink while looking over the menu. Servers were walking by (not a busy night, maybe 30% capacity) and paying no attention to us. It took over 20 minutes before we got our drink ordersin. We also ordered two appetizers. Appetizers arrived before our drinks. Then the drinks arrived. It took another 20-30 minutes before we had to get the servers attention for my wife to get a second drink and even longer before we couldorder entries. Food came out in expected time. Pork Chops were great, steak was good (nothing special). Service kept being poor. No check on how we liked the food or if we needed anything. Dessert menu was poor, so we skipped dessert. Weactually walked across the street and had dessert instead.

Simply amazing spot. Everyone?s incredibly kind and they?ve definitely got the best drinks on Lincoln ave maybe all of San Jose!

First time there. I definitely recommend this place to go eat. Our server was so cute and helpful. The food was excellent.

Before today we?d never been here, but are local to Willow Glen and had been meaning to check it out for some time. This place is PHENOMENAL. The food is incredible, the flavor is delightful with every dish. The preparation is so thoughtful. I typically don?t like mushrooms and I couldn?t get enough of the ones in the gnocchi dish. The cocktails also were fantastic, so much flavor and character. Definitely going again.
