Beryl's Place - San Jose

One of the few places in the area that was well rated and open at 7am. Super pleasant people, food was good, prices were fair. I’d come back.

Chinese guests , please don't step into this place! The female boss is a racist! Yelled at my 3 year old girl today so loudly , just because I requested her husband to warm the lunch box in microwave for sexonds( I bought it from her restaurant, not from outside) . I asked really nicely. Her husband said ok. The women immediately pointed me and my daughter said : NO! Get out ! Get out of my place ! I don't like Chinese ! Wth! You are Korean, so you think above of Chinese . Plus you are the only cafe in this complex, so you can tell a 3 year old child !

Been drinking coffee for a while now, and I've tried a lot of different places. Some are good, some are bad, but this place is really special.

My favorite lunch place. I usually get a sandwich with the choice of *two* different side dishes they offer. The food is great, but it's the side dishes that not only make this place a great value, but healthy as well. See the picture. I've also had the meatloaf, the spaghetti, lasagna, and a few other things as well. It's all good. I've gotten to know the woman and man who run the place, and they're nice people, and friendly too. They also have a pretty well stocked salad bar too.

Wish I found this place sooner. I work nearby, and this place beats my cafeteria options hands down. The potato salad and veggies as a side option is definitely a plus.
