La Vecchia Quercia

This restaurant was quite a surprise. It is the restaurant of the Garden Hotel and maybe for that reason I️ had always ignored when choosing a place to eat in the neighborhood. Since this time I was staying at the Garden hotel and wanted to invite my siblings to dinner while not having a late evening, we decided to stay in. We were warmly greeted by the maitre d’ “signor Nino”, who sat us and immediately served our bread and water. He is very knowledgeable about the wine and gave us excellent recommendations. We ordered appetizers (could have been a whole meal) and a second course of sword fish for three of us and pesce al cartoccio for the fourth person. The food was delicious, the service while impeccable was made better by the staff welcoming attitude and sense of humor. Excellent restaurant!
