In San Giovanni a Piro, a place offering true Cilento cuisine, excellent raw materials and an interesting range of wines. Quick, punctual service with a waitress who keeps the place running, always kind, smiling and available, always ready to satisfy customer requests. Here we ate a true Cilento menu, the mbuttunate aubergines were amazing, the mbuttunate anchovies were excellent, not to mention the famous ciambotta. Also tasted the sliced veal with local black truffle. The former are beautiful, inviting and abundant. Obviously all washed down with good local Aglianico. The local bitter Penna is excellent, accompanied by delicious figs dipped in chocolate. Anyone wishing to enjoy a pure Cilento menu is in the right place.
Nice place, halfway between its past and its ambitions of a cuisine with more refined ingredients but faithful to a radical and simple Cilento cuisine. Abundant portions, high quality of cured meats and cheeses and excellent quality/price ratio, especially if we come from the speculation of the cities.
Siamo ritornati questa estate a cena, e devo dire si conferma sempre uno dei migliori locali in zona. Questa volta ho provato i ravioli, favolosi! E la parmigiana ottima! Servizio cortese e nei tempi come sempre. un plauso alla signora Giovanna per aver mantenuto la performance ottimale del suo ristorante. Alla prossima...!!! Voto
