Great experience. great food: appetizers, first and cream cooked to the sublimate saffron, in a quiet and furnished room with goto. photos and music that surround. very kind staff.
Small restaurant located in a position to say little delicious, with the tables outdoors in the road lured close to a viewpoint that stretches on hills, vineyards and ancient manors (really ideal for a dinner at sunset sin that the sight, and peace, is irreparably disturbed by cruises of tourists or by groups of modern walkers of the resting street. Service at times over the lines but pleasant, and kitchen certainly discrete, which has not left particular memories, and that was lacking in my opinion of character and just wisdom. the saffron of San gimignano, present in various dishes of the menu and protagonist announced, has resulted in our opinion rather evanescent, both in risotto, combined with red onion, and in the baked cream, perfect in the consistency, fresh and pleasant, but without feeling particularly traceable to the noble spice. Taste the pici to the courtyard ragù, but we would have liked less tied and accompanied by a more generous dressing, and even too delicate the black croutons of liver, a must Tuscan that I usually prefer more structured, rough and with more notes of salmì. Excellent reds available at the glass, and account in line with expectations.
Quiet and welcoming environment. the great heat and the many tourists who crowd the alleys. I got a great plate of wild boar pappardelle and also a tiramisù worthy of the top ten of the category. and, not secondary note for those who like me travel alone, I exchanged a very pleasant conversation with the nice owner of the place. More than satisfied, thank you!
Excellent food, very friendly service and stunning views from the front of the restaurant!
