Bidra med feedbackWe stayed at Torraccia di Chiusi for two nights, and dined there on both evenings. Both our meals were excellent unpretentious, honest Tuscan home cooking at its best. From the antipasti to the fresh fruit, coffee and grappa, everything was fresh, tasty and well-presented....The outdoor dining area is gorgeous, overlooking wonderful views. Not surprisingly, the hotel and restaurant attract very nice guests, with whom we had pleasant chats. The service is friendly and very attentive (they made double sure to meet my girlfriend's dietary requirements lactose intolerance and no shrimps). Their home produced white wine at Euros a bottle! was absolutely great (the region is better known for its red wines, but the hot weather was not conducive to drinking red). Wholeheartedly recommended!!
Someone below wrote that there was too much quantity WHAT?? Totally disagree -it's perfect, and a very traditional Italian menu. Each night is different (we ate there twice). When you arrive you are offered an apperitivo (say yes then comes a small antipasto...(we had soup), followed by a primo (pasta, which is fantastic), then a secondo (some kind of meat), and finished by a very small dolce. We didn't have a single bad dish! We were full, but not too full and were offered grappa at the very end (at your own risk! . I know that they accomodate food allergies and preferences as well but if you can, just show up, sit down, and be happily surprised by the courses that come out of the kitchen!
We had two dinners here. They are five-course set menus. Although the food is delicious, the overall quantity is too much. Would have enjoyed it more if especially the soup and pasta courses had been about the size.
We stayed at the Agriturismo, and had dinner here every night during our stay. Every night we had a course dinner which was based on what was available locally. It was very delicious.
Home cooked meals authentic Tuscan. Stayed here nights and had their breakfast every day and dinner nights. Breakfast buffet has both hot cold items. Their scrambled eggs are delicious. Best cappuccino and bruschetta in Italy! Lunch can be requested at additional...cost. Dinner is course every night and full of wonderful surprises. Includes appetizer, soup, pasta, entree, dessert. Very reasonably priced. Food is very good and it is sooooo convenient to eat here and then just go to your room or sit outside and relax. Lazar helps serve in the evening he is funny and accommodating. Hats off to Bruno and all the kitchen staff!
