Bidra med feedbackThere was a lot of to go orders that were being picked up when we arrived at 12:30 on a Thursday. However, we were the only table there dining in Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 Ordered the combo for 3 4 people which includes Peking Roasted Duck (3 Dishes), Happy Family, and Special Pork Feet Cut with Black Pepper Sauce. Peking: traditional and the skin is crispy and the meat is moist. Side provided comes with sliced cumber and scallions with a hoisin/sweet bean sauce. The original sauce was a bit salty and the waitress noticed we didn’t touch much of it and asked if we’re interested in trying a different batch. The ones given in the plastic container was spot on! The wrap is more traditional in that it’s more like a thin pancake/crepe rather than fluffy bun. Absolutely hit the spot and highly recommended. They also do a stir fried bean sprout with some of the duck meat as well as the duck bone soup. The soup is wonderful and a great way to start and/or end the meal Happy Family is composed of 4 side dishes that helps clear the palate. Based on other pictures on Yelp, it seems like these side dishes may change but the jellyfish salad and spicy beef slices were great. Pork feet was super soft and marinated well. It almost just melts in your mouth. Highly recommend as well!! Ambience: 4/5 the advertisement signs that blocked off the back half of the restaurant was very in your face. But typical Asian restaurant with some writing framed on the walls. Service: 10/5 the waitress was AMAZING! She was extremely attentive and happy to help. She was willing to provide hot water to some people at the table and hot tea to the others. She brought additional tea cups and napkins as we went through the meal. She tried to explain as well as she could with limited English but went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we wanted Value for price: 5/5 pricey for Chinese food but comparable for Peking duck. Not something you would eat daily but wonderful for special events or when you crave Peking duck. Fun fact: Peking duck in Chinese is Beijing roasted duck. This is because Peking is an older spelling variation of Beijing. However, the roasted duck actually first appeared in Nanjing, Jiangsu and was brought to Beijing when the capital moved during the Ming dynasty
Don’t waste your money this is the most digesting place for Peking duck. The Tianmian sauce is so bad and taste so weird it doesn’t even taste sweetIt’s so disgusting for the price. We ordered the $180 combo and the entire combo taste like expired food. There’s also small clots of sauce in the Peking duck sauce, I’ve ate this dish in so many places never seen this happen before. Not to mention the meat of the duck came in a plastic wrap in the center of random pieces of fried skins. The walnut shrimp was also disgusting. The walnut taste like those dried walnut that was put outside for too long. The shrimps are in small pieces and bunch of them are just fried flours with nothing inside. There’s also bunch of other dishes that’s also disgusting in their own way. The entire Peking duck dish is just bunch of expired frozen food. The soup also don’t have meat only few tofus. If you order entire Peking duck you should get the meat and soup which is made of the ducks bones and contains the bones and remaining parts. This is such a fraud and waste of money. $180 wasted. Never coming back to this disgusting place.
I visited Tasty Duck on Chinese New Year Eve and had mixed feelings about the experience. While the restaurant wasn't crowded, the food turned out to be rather bland, lacking the flavorful punch I was expecting. On the positive side, the staff was attentive and the ambiance was pleasant. Overall, I would rate it a 3 out of 5. I hope Tasty Duck can work on improving the flavors of their dishes to provide a more satisfying dining experience.
I came from Beijing, it let me down. As a Peking duck, I just see it’s so so.We ate the three dishes duck. Skin is too dry and oily. The soup has no duck pieces, only tofu and cabbage!!! Also another dish is the sprouts with duck, there’s several less than 1cm ducks in it. Oh my gosh!!!If you want more extra 12) pancakes or green onion, there are $6/$4 more!!! The sauce also need $2 more if you want more, I never saw this before :
Waste of $180 on a combo. Cold food they definitely microwaved it before the delivery. Also terrible sauce for Peking duck not tianmian sauce. All other dishes taste expired and frozen, like they were all microwaved overnight food. Terrible place.
