It was great. Good service. Good food. About $30 per person. There is plenty of space and not too busy, which is really refreshing in San Francisco. You can wake up and hear. It's great. The only negative point for me was that cookies were really sad and bad. Just enjoy everything and do not take cookies.
This is open and airy, with plenty of space. I found it on the loud side. Brunch was great, liked the food more than the drinks. It didn't try any wine. I liked the pork carnitas tacos, Kimchee ham cheese, FRENCH FRIES were amazingly crispy. The calender salad was also great.
Love this place! We just had a dinner party with a big group for my husband's birthday and had a fabulous time. It is a beautiful, open space with many tables, a lounge area and a great bar. The food is fantastic. Really fantastic. Everything was served family style. The first different courses were vegetarian, and they were all the next level. There was an asparagus court and I could have eaten the asparagus all night. I never knew I could be so excited about asparagus, but WOW. There was also a roasted cauliflower dish served on fresh hummus, with one side of spicy cucumbers in acid cream, which was also a favorite. We had some beautiful, buttery smooth oysters, some really excellent roasted chicken hot, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside it was great roasted chicken and I'm somehow a roasted chicken connoisseur. Then the burgers and pommes. Both stood up. Not unusual. The burger was perfectly grilled with melted cheese, arugula, roasted rolls it was juicy, only salty enough... Excellent. And the FRIES were BEYOND. Hot, golden, crispy and salty on the outside, soft on the inside. With a fantastic diving sauce. I ate too many fries and eat them only because they were SO GOOD. I didn't think I had room for Dessert... Until it was served and I had a spoon of the beautiful, dense coconut cake rich in a bowl, Vanille Pot de creme with one side strawberry bonus. It was the perfect balance of cream and fruit, sweet and salty, and I lived for it, and somehow my whole portion disappeared. Our meal was accompanied by three different types of wine, I drank a Sauvignon Blanc, and there were two red, a Merlot and something else my husband really liked. The whole group shared the wine, please some of the group also ordered cocktails. We really had a fantastic time and we are all looking forward to a soon return!
This was my first time at Tank18, went there for a City Experts meet and greet gathering. An excellent venue, its a wine bar cum event space. Good decor of course, the venue was cleared of tables but I imagine, regular hours would have a few more standing barrels to rest your glass on. They source their wines from local areas, I tasted their reds from Sacramento, they also sell bottles.
