Bidra med feedbackHad a wonderfully refreshing dessert stop at Sweet Glory before heading to Great American Music Hall. My husband had the lychee rosé sparkler and I had a yuzu honey one, which had that burst of citrus I was yearning for. Paired with the creamy richness of their pandan coconut mille crepe cake, it hit the spot. The shop specializes in mille crepe cake slices in great variety. A happy respite in the Tenderloin.
The crepe cakes at this restaurant are amazing! They are not overly sweet and even better than those at Lady M. The only drawback is the location, so make sure to choose the right streets and time of day to visit.
After visiting my favorite noodle spot (Hai Ky Noodle), I decided to try out this new restaurant in the neighborhood. I admire businesses that take on the challenges of opening in this area. As for the food, I ordered the chocolate hazelnut layer cake and it was absolutely delicious. Every bite was memorable. It was worth the $11 price tag.
Although this dessert spot is a bit expensive, I really enjoy their innovative desserts such as pandan coconut crepe cakes and salted egg yolk croissants. My friends absolutely loved the crepe cakes, even though it was their first time trying them and they may have been overly excited. Overall, it's a great place for sweet treats with a delicious Asian/Thai influence.
Okay in my defense I did not walk into their planning to buy a slice of cake I swear!! And technically I didn't... So for those of you who didn't read my recommendation on sweet glory at 721 Larkin you may not have known about my salted caramel biscoff crepe cake with a cookie butter filling addiction but well I have one and for good reason The cake is life-alteringly good!! However they also have these other amazing treats as well including this really good banana bread that is not full of nuts which I don't like my banana bread to be. Which I swear that's why I went in there was to get two pieces of banana bread for tomorrow morning but then... The ladies who work there who I love and who are also the absolute best told me about this new slice that they wanted me to try and that they were going to give me for free!! So technically I didn't buy a slice of cake!! But let me just show you a picture of it because that's all that's all that remains!! It is an Apple crumble crepe cake and it is amazing!! I thought I had tasted perfection before but I had not until now!!
