Bidra med feedbackThis charming French bistro offers delicious food that is definitely worth the Uber ride from Nob Hill. The coq au vin and duck entrees were fantastic, and they also have a great wine selection.
The Champagne, truffle pasta, black cod, garlic bread, tuna, and all of the pasta dishes were delicious. The restaurant was very accommodating to all of our requests. We will definitely be returning on our next trip to San Francisco.
I ordered tagliolini with tomatoes, which was fresh and rich with a touch of creaminess. The noodles were springy, almost like Chinese bean curd noodles. The parpadelle with rabbit was hearty yet elegant, priced at $28. The Casoncelli stuffed with potatoes had a delicious pesto sauce. Meat lovers will enjoy the ribeye for $48, as well as the beef and pork meatball appetizer priced at $23. The prosciutto and melons dish had good prosciutto, spicy arugula, and delicious melons. The focaccia was $4 and had a good bounce with decent olive oil. My only minor complaint is that my water glass was refilled too often. There are vegetarian options available, with only 2 pastas containing meat.
It 's easy to find a good Italian restaurant but hard to find a great one. I am pleased to put Seven Hills in the great Italian restaurant category!Warning: In addition to appetizers, I recommend ordering one primo and one secondo per person as the portions allow for this (small) and the taste and quality justifies the portion sizes. All dishes were unique and expertly crafted. The foie gras appetizer was topped with a strawberry reduction which in my opinion is optional since I prefer the taste of the foie gras itself over the sweeter taste of the reduction. The Panzanella 's dressing was perfectly balancing the tomatoes and fine slices of shallots. As main course, we shared the fish of the day which was roasted salmon on a bed of PERFECT tomato risotto. The risotto alone was to die for: topped with fresh basil leaves to give an explosion of flavors: absolutely lovely. The fish was cooked to the perfection: evenly cooked (juicy) with not a single sign of dryness. With this we paired a dry white wine.Highly recommend for the quality of the food. I would say that the higher cost is justified by the quality of the food.
Rabbit paperadelle was incredible. Server was very knowledgeable about the wine. Service in general was top notch. Great experience
