Bidra med feedbackI wrote this review in 2016 and I have visited the restaurant a few more times since then, but my opinion remains the same. There are definitely better dining options in San Francisco. On April 18, 2016, I experienced an unreasonably long wait, was disappointed by the food, particularly a $13 bland vegan salad with unripe avocado. It's hard to imagine someone enjoying hard and flavorless avocado, so I would not recommend this restaurant.
Mixt is my favorite place to get a fresh salad or corn bowl for lunch in downtown. You have vegan salads and bowl ideas on the menu or you can get what you want. They have tons of vegetables and fruits, quinoa and other grains, edamame, peas and tofu for protein, plus nuts and vegan dressings. The part is generous and you can order online to skip the line. Workers get fair wages, all materials are plant-based and they have a reward program. Yes, the salads are between 12 and 15 dollars, but they are fresh, local and organic. Very good!
I absolutely love the Ritual Salad at this restaurant. It is packed with arugula, red cabbage, tofu, rice, avocado, spicy peanuts, mango, carrots, cucumbers, and scallions, all topped with a delicious carrot ginger dressing. The portion size is generous and the salad is very filling due to the density of the vegetables. I could easily eat this for lunch three days a week because it is just that good.
The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seasonal ingredients in their generous-sized salads. However, they could improve on preventing cross-contamination between vegan and non-vegan items. On my last visit, I found three cheeses mixed into my salad, which was disappointing.
I love mixing rover! I first tried one of her salads when 7x7 held a promotion for free salads and I have been hooked up since then. it is extremely convenient to order the salate online on the morning. so far there are three drop-off locations and hopefully more to come. while the prices are actually a bit up there, it is a better offer than what they can find in south park in soma. I recommend using this service.
