Cafe De La Presse - San Francisco

Our family had a great breakfast at Cafe de La presse. We love the great atmosphere. It reminded us the San Francisco of the old.

So glad this cafe survived through the pandemic with so many restaurants closing around SF Union Square. Ambience is perfect like a little piece of Europe and service always professional and kind. My friend and I love their french toast for an early morning breakfast treat. Consistently wonderful. Thank you!

I have been here before, based on KQED's Check Please review. Was very impressed with my initial visit and have returned a number of times to check out their various menu items. Always am impressed.

I’m French, and I can tell you the food there is great. Even in a touristic area, you can have real French food with a good atmosphere and great service. Waiters change often, but Lola was the best. Portions are definitely on the American side, so you should definitely try it.

Feels fancy and like a perfect place to have a quiet contemplative moment, or a glass or wine with friends. I took my 10 year old after an afternoon window shopping in Union Square. She felt so sophisticated and loved the experience. Even though it was just a quick mocha for her wine for me, and fries.
