Cafe Destijl - San Francisc

Decidedly mediocre breakfast burrito with not so tasty potatoes. Not worth $13.

Reasonably priced, but mediocre food, unfortunately. Lots of other great options nearby.

It 's hard to tell what cafe means these days with monster restaurant chains adopting the name. Cafe deStijl is the real deal. Tucked away on a quiet street just off the Embarcadero, it 's a lovely spot for coffee and light breakfast items. There are just a few tables lining the walls and a few more outdoors. Orders are taken at the counter and the food is brought out to you it 's not a sit down restaurant. The menu is not huge, but everything was fresh and delicious. My daughter had a yummy fruit plate and my oatmeal was served with maple syrup, toasted walnuts and perfectly ripe banana slices. A short walk from the Alcatraz cruise, It was a great place to pop in before our tour.

Stopped for breakfast and enjoyed what I ate and there's outside seating. What can go wrong? I had a very full breakfast as seen in my photo and it was very tasty.

Great spot for breakfast nice fruit and granola (be hungry, it's big). Coffee ok, for a Kiwi it was more bucket thank cup, but hey, when in Rome
