Bidra med feedbackWith our AirBnB located in such a cramped and shabby neighborhood of San Diego, I didn't think we could manage to find such a bright and delightful brunch joint literally one turn around the corner. The place felt pretty homey, with an outdoor patio out in the sunlight. Waitress was pretty friendly. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla and was surprised by how large it was. The 4 huge, green spinach tortilla wraps were STUFFED with eggs, potato hash, and other gud stuff. I barely managed to finish off two, and it was well worth the price in my opinion. Everyone else enjoyed their egg benedicts, which were presented on the plates very nicely. My only complaint was that $2.50 worth of orange juice came in a very tiny mason jar, and was slightly sour. Overall, this meal got my day off to a great start.
Aloha yes I'm still eating my way through San Diego. A cool hipster neighborhood breakfast spot off the beaten path as you're heading in or out of the Point Loma Ocean Beach area hence the name. Nice outdoor seating with full service dogs allowed so fun to pet a few here and there. My eggs Benedict with smoked meat was best I've had in a long time reminded me of old Tahitian Lanai with the generous portion of hollandaise sauce nice. Looked like everyone enjoyed their brunch. Great stop on our way to the airport.
Love this place! It looks like they got a new menu since the last time I visited, and it's awesome. I sat outside with my pup today and had an iced coffee and this Ocean Beach Bruschetta. 10/10 recommend. I've also used their catering services for work under both the current and former owners. They do a killer job, great pricing, and always a hit with the guests. Visit. Eat all the the things. Enjoy.
We both really liked this place. I had wanted to explore Ocean Beach a bit because it had been one of my favorite neighborhoods when I lived in San Diego 45 years ago. Though I lived in North Park, my boyfriend lived in OB and for years after we'd left San Diego my car sported one of the iconic OB decals w/ a sea gull. We found parking right in front and walked through the dog-friendly patio where I observed 4 or 5 well behaved dogs and their friendly owners. We sat inside because the chairs were sturdier and looked more comfortable. We were welcomed and told to seat ourselves where we wanted, so we chose a 4 top. We were given menus, breakfast on one side and lunch on the other. They offer multiple coffee drinks and teas as well. The space is roomy, bright and attractive. A large ceiling fan w/ many blades hung motionless in the middle. It would be very useful in hot weather. I decided on a tuna sandwich w/ fresh fruit on the side, asking that the cheese be held. I don't eat cheese on my tuna sandwiches. Alan was wavering between a quesadilla and a waffle w/ berries and our server recommended the quesadilla. Alan ordered iced coffee and I ordered hot tea. They only had low fat milk, so our server added a splash of whole milk, which I appreciated. Alan belatedly remembered he'd wanted fruit also, so he told the man, probably the owner, who brought our meals and the fruit appeared quite quickly. Alan commented on how good the coffee was and my tea was very good too, loose leaves rather than the Bigelow's bagged tea I had yesterday. My sandwich was very tasty, done on a panini press, so it was warm, slices of tomato and avocado flanking the tuna. The fruit was a mixture of strawberries, blackberries, blueberries, honeydew, cantaloupe and pineapple, all very sweet and good. I particularly loved the blueberries. Alan declared his quesadilla the best breakfast he'd had since we've been in San Diego. This place was so very pleasant. I'm not sure who chose the music overhead but it was all our vintage, the kind of songs we find ourselves singing along to. If we lived around here we'd be regulars.
To The Point is a cute little cafe that's perfect for brunch. My friends and I came here during a weekend vacation in San Diego and had a great time. Everyone's food was yummy and prepared quickly. Between all of us, we had: -croissant breakfast sandwich -smoked salmon salad -breakfast quesadilla -açaí bowl -Mexican skillet We didn't have to wait for our table and got a nice spot outside, but it was a Friday so you might experience a wait on the weekend. The outdoor patio was nice, but it was on a pretty busy/loud street which wasn't ideal. All in all we had a great time and would return if we lived in San Diego.
