Fresh Golden Donuts - San Diego

Golden Donut is my favorite town! Just back to the area and I'm so glad to enjoy the delicacies again. Such friendly faces behind the counter! Great setup!

I have been coming here for years. Since I was in middle school my dad would take me here to get delicious donuts and let me tell you, these are the fluffiest tastiest donuts I've ever had. You have to come early to snag your favorite since they do sell out quickly, if you come in past 10 chances are you're not gonna find much left. They also started selling Vietnamese coffee too! It just gets better and better

This is the No frills old school Donut Shop.... As I like it! Just give me delicious donuts! But OMG! How early do you really have to come here?? It sucks you have to wake up at 6:00 on the weekend to have your choice of donut you wanted. But at 6:00 there is a line and donuts fly out of the door! You're so good! Average prices, a single classic donut is $1.50. You also have croissants, my fav is ham and cheese. If you're an early bird, come here for the donuts! Come ready and know what you want to order, they will disappear when you wait to order. Take cash. Cards are accepted, but there is a $0.50 fee to use it. Bonus, it's right next to Starbucks!

Donuts taste very good and are fresh off the oven when we buy in the AM. I wish the coffee was acceptable for me to pour and add sugar/cream. Doors are propped open which lets in flies. But I only saw one on my short visit.
