Bidra med feedbackThis is definitely one of the most interesting Japanese Italian fusion restaurants I've seen and been at. It has potential but I feel like it falls short. The cheese plate was incredibly disappointing, I would skip it. The pizza and other food was good. The lack of effort on the cheese plate really brought down the overall experience.
Excellent Japanese comfort food! It was so good, I ended up eating too much!
Excellent food! The unagi pizza looked sounded great from all the reviews and this one didn't disappoint. It was super easy to split half a pizza half a pasta dish (we had the cod roe pasta). I would definitely come back again for squid ink pasta given soba is generally served cold I am curious if the roe cold pasta one is inspired by soba. I thought the portions were good for what we got the quality of the food.Parking: plenty if you arrive before 6pm. between 7 and 8, expect to hunt for a spot!
I absolutely love Japanese comfort food. And Bistro Kaz does it right. You need to get the corn soup. They make it from scratch. I’m not sure how they do it, but they are able to stuff corn aroma, essence, and punch into it.The cold cod roe angel hair pasta is soothing with a touch of decadence with the roe and ikura.Comfort food is meant to be heavy, but Bistro Kaz is able to thread the needle. You leave with a warm, full belly without feeling like you’ve eaten a ton of bricks.
My cousin and I were here last Friday. We weren't sure about having Italian- Japanese infused food but I got to say it was delicious. I'd never had a lobster pizza before and the beef Bolognese was better here than most straight Italian places. For dessert I had the Black Sesame Pie(? . Unique and very good. And the service the was good too. We will be back.
