Il Reale - SAN DAMIANO D'ASTI

Outdoor trip, and unforeseen lunch. We stopped on indication of a kind gentleman, and never imagined such a lunch: Two superlative appetizers ( fennel salad and grana and albese) a portion of agnolotti to the gorgonzola that was worth two, a pork fillet with mustard, excellent, and a dessert. In addition to water, wine (barbera della casa) and two coffees. All in an elegant environment, impeccable service and a total bill to shout: 30 euros. Great!

In the center of San Damiano d'Asti, in the province of Asti not far from the famous Langhe, a really excellent place for dinner and/or lunch is the Restaurant Hotel IL REALE. The restaurant, in particular, is in a unique room, relatively large but with a series of wonderful stuccoes. More than excellent service in all senses as excellent is the gastronomic offer marked by the finest and most refined Piedmont cuisine. Superlative is also the price/quality ratio. No problem to pay by credit card while it is open every day of the week. Recommended and W the Piedmont at table in San Damiano d'Asti!!

The restaurant is located on the first floor of an old building and consists of one large hall, decorated with stucco. The menu is the classic menu of Piedmontese tradition, with rather abundant courses and cooked in a very excellent way. An extra point for the kindness of the staff, sometimes almost embarrassing. Next to us there was a large table that had chosen menus with the traditional Piedmontese fried and, without reservation, we could taste different courses, without however there were then charged in the account. I count it turned out very light: only 97 euros for 4 people, all served to paper with appetizer, first, second, sweet and coffee. Wine included... Unbeatable.

Located near the historic centre of San Damiano and a large and free parking. Family-run structure where friendliness and kindness are on the agenda, simple but clean rooms, excellent cuisine and abundant breakfast. Great value for money and strategic location halfway between Asti and Alba. Recommended

We celebrated with my family a wedding anniversary and we were very well. Aperitif on the terrace, the lunch reserved in a very beautiful room with a view on one of the main squares of the village center. Great location also for parking. The well-kept service, excellent food and abundant, the wine of excellent local productions.
