Bidra med feedbackRecently I had the pleasure of visiting The Ramen Cafe in San Clemente. The Ramen Cafe is in one of the most quaint and nostalgic centers that i have visited in San Clemente! It is truly a hidden gem. From the moment you walk into the restaurant, you enter a calming and warm home away from home and are hit with the most amazing smells coming from the kitchen. I was greeted by Cole, who helped me determine which ramen to go with. He gave me broth suggestions and even when I questioned him, he quickly offered me a sample of each! I ended up ordering the Spicy Pork Ramen with Tonkotsu broth and I can honestly say, it was the best Ramen i have ever had. The portions here are so generous and I was able to have enough to enjoy at dinner as well. My kids love the Garlic Noodles and now, i often order 2 sets of Edamame to save and snack on at home. Not only does The Ramen Cafe have amazing food, but the list of tea's is extensive and they also offer beer and wine at a very reasonable price. I had the pleasure of meeting Elly the owner who made the experience that much more enjoyable. Her team enjoy where they work and that makes a huge difference! Thank you Elly for the amazing customer service, creating a warm and amazing environment and giving me a reason to want Ramen daily!
In LOVE with this charming Ramen restaurant!!!The ramen was delicious and the ingredients are so fresh! My son had the OG Tonkotsu ramen, and I had vegetarian GLUTEN FREE ramen. Very impressed!! We highly recommend!! It's located in the San Clemente Old Town Plaza right up the street from the pier. Super cute vibe, extremely friendly staff, with in outdoor seating, great food and great wine selections too ; I would have shared a photo of my sons OG Tonkotsu, but he devoured it!
Well, 3 strikes you're out. Tonight was the third consecutive time I was denied ramen because I came within an hour of closing. Poke 808, on Del Mar near south swell has much better service. I've been going here since the first location and it bums me out how bad the service has been, same person every time.
I tried to give this restaurant a second chance since I thought perhaps they had an off day the first time we tried their ramen when one of us was sickened by one of the ramen dishes, and that they had charged an exorbitant $25 corkage fee for a bottle of wine our friend brought for dinner. I am Japanese, and I hate giving bad reviews, but the ramen does not taste authentic. They don 't even carry the traditional togarashi that usually is offered in a Japanese ramen restaurant. I 'm not sure why there are many good reviews, but this is an establishment that we will not return for good, authentic ramen. I am giving one star for the friendly service.
First time my husband and I tried their the food was amazing. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was just chill. Great for rainy nights or just any night
