Chaupain Bakery - San Clemente

The line from the door was our first note, and the tangible anticipation of the people standing in the line was our second. omg, fluffy crispy croissants in different flavors, pudding tarts topped with colorful fruits, arrays of enticing pastries. when we took part in our decisions, the line cleared and the personal answered our first questions. we can hardly wait to go back and try the rest of the tasty!

This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in San Clemente. The pastries- both in selection and quality- are superb. Everything is made on-site and it shows! The croissants I had on several different occasions were flaky, buttery goodness. The atmosphere is very nice and music plays in the background. There is limited seating inside and a few tables outside. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. Silvia, whom I believe to be the manager, is wonderful and engaged with many of the patrons. 10/10.

The atmosphere here is incredible. The food is fresh and always tastes amazing. Please treat yourself to the many pastry options. You won’t be disappointed.

The best, period! Went in on a whim for the first time today and this place doesn’t disappoint! I got an assortment of items to share with neighbors (lemon and chocolate toffee tart; lemon curd and Nutella muffin; sourdough loaf; and the nicest woman threw in a cinnamon twist gratis) I can’t believe I’ve lived my whole life not experiencing food like this before—yum!
