Dickey's Barbecue Pit - San Carlos

Some consistently good quality but periodically, like today, some items came way over cooked. The wings were soooo tough we couldnt finish them. The ribs tasted reheated causing them to have a dry texture as well. Still, a generally great bet but a few misses so set expectations for some misses.

First of all, not an actual Dickeys location, its in a Burmese restaurant which led to some confusion when picking up my order. The brisket and chicken were good, but a little dry especially the chicken. The Texas Toast was just a big untoasted slice of white bread. The mashed potato casserole and Mac n cheese were alright, but nothing to write home about.

Portion size is unbelievable small. I received two pieces of sausage, the toast seemed like it was just toasted white bread and was cold, and lastly, the Mac and cheese tasted like frozen Mac and cheese. Will not be going back.

Ive never left a rating of less than 5 stars for a restaurant before until now. The beans and potatoes were warm and fine, and the kielbasa was warm and prepared fine even though I personally didnt like it. The mac n cheese though was cold like it came straight from a refrigerator. 1 of the 3 ribs was all bone and they had a weird smell to them. 1 of the 3 pieces of brisket was all fat so my dog enjoyed that. Lastly, I ordered pecan pie but a brownie was delivered instead. I know Dickeys can do better than this, however perhaps the issues are because its a satellite location from another restaurant and not an actual Dickeys location. Either way, theres a lot of room for improvement. Thank you.

A 3 meat plate consisted of jerky-like brisket and jerky-like ribs. Both required required extensive chewing. I dont even know why I continued, maybe because it costs me $20.25 for a small meal. The only saving grace was the cheese sausages, and even those felt over cooked and dried out. I have never eaten such terrible bbq. Im not a bbq aficionado, but you cant possibly be serving this to your customers.
