Zocalo Mio - San Antonio

You have to go to Zocalo! I went for lunch two days and it was fantastic. The staff was friendly, the food was fresh and the service was fast! On the first day I had the La Cubana Sandwich and it made me to Jon Favreau in the film “Chef” in his search to make the perfect Cuban sandwich, and like the movie, this sandwich did not disappoint. The next day I had a Mahi Mahi rice dish and it was delicious! The fish was cooked for perfection and melted into the mouth; rice and vegetables were fresh and delicious. Meals are served with tortilla chips and they had a selection of chili sauces that you could choose from mild to super spicy. The price per meal was about $10-$15. Stop and enjoy!

The best deal in town! These tacos are so big!! It's worth eating here. Yes, they have Dr. Pfeffer for us dr pepper lovers!!

Casual made to order the menu, fresh ingredients. Pure, coldest beer I had in three days. The next day with a party of 6. 4 beers 2 so 6 meals with lace under $100

Order the Torta Ahogada with Chicharrons. Everything was delicious. The bread was soft and moist. The combination of plastered onions and cabbage belong to my favorites. The salsa had a kick, but not too spicy (although I would rather be a bit more spicy). And then about the experience by sitting outside next to the Riverwalk and feeling the heart of downtown San Antonio. Thanks Zocalo.

I love their Cubano sandwich. It's my go-to whenever I'm there. Great location next to the river on Houston ST with a nice little outdoor space out front. So glad to have Zocalo Mio back even if on a limited schedule. We missed them during the long pandemic shutdown and I wasn't sure if they'd ever be back.
