Bidra med feedbackYum!!! started with the calamari and zucchini AWESOME! the breaking like a tempura was so light and crisp and stuck! the zucchini was perfectly fried, and the calamari was very tender. we enjoyed the spinach salad, FULL of blue cheese, walnuts and bacon. and the tortellini was SO creamy and SO delicious. hubby and I split salad and entree and it was brought already split to our table! love that! very attentive service too. and despite splitting, we still left with a to go box! I'd go back just for the zucchini!
Great Italian comfort food. I write as a consumer and nothing more. I am associated with the parent group of this establishment but went in to try a different concept, 'The neighborhood pizzeria '. The decor is warm and inviting and the menu revealed many favorites. A meal with just my stepson has become a 'boys day ' tradition that my girlfriend really enjoys and so do we. We started off with a caprese, my favorite appetizer. The presentation is flawless and the flavor continued. It 's hard to steer my stepson away from anything other than Fettucine Alfredo with chicken. He will taste all dishes but a full meal will almost always be fettucine. I opted for one of my warm Italian favorites, Rigatoni Campagnole. Sausage, peppers, onions, and a touch of bolognese sauce capture all of my favorite flavors. To conclude a gelato spumoni for us to share and an espresso for me and we both left very happy. Great price point, location, service, and execution.
Heavenly Italian Gourmet Food. This is my third time here I just HAD to tell everybody what a wonderful dining experience it is.Their Italian salads,sandwiches,pizza,canneloni/cakes,etc., are beautifully presented in showcases as you enter the restaurant. It's a visual feast. The aroma of fresh baked bread fills the air. There's no place better in San Antonio when it comes to freshly baked gourmet pizzas. We listened to Italian Tv feasted on avocado spinich salad,mushroom/prosciuto pizza, calzones. The cozy tables are covered with red checked tablecloths, the atmosphere is family Italy! .Bright, clean, friendly restaurant with generous portions of everything!.
After 4 p.m. visit with group. The restaurant changes to table service after 4 p.m. A little pricey. Smaller than expected lasagna a la carte for $10 was tasty but less than expected. Chocolate covered cannoli was crispy and tasty although prepared in the morning. Pepperoni pizza with nice, just crispy enough crust, was good. Spinach Salad $6 on salad sized plate. Fresh baby spinach with red onion, blue cheese, walnuts, bacon, balsamic vinagrette was tasty. Lots of filler items so for lighter choice ask for toppings and dressing on the side. Italian Wedding Soup was $5.00 for bowl of soup. Nicely seasoned. Service was good. Will try for lunch another time.
We went to this Po Po's for the first time this past Friday, as we were in the mood for Italian. They have a good range of pizza and non-pizza options that all sound great. We are definitely coming back, as the food was excellent, as was the service across the board. My wife and I both got the Tortellini Superiori that had a great mild cream-based sauce, chicken, and mushrooms. It was excellent. We also ordered a house side salad each to go with our pasta. Should have taken a picture of it, too, as it was very fresh and very generous in portion. The fresh bread they bring to the table is outstanding. All in all, an excellent first impression and we look forward to trying the pizza and other dishes soon.
