Don Chucho - San Andrés Cholula

I thought here was a late breakfast with friends and was very happy with everything. the location is comfortable and tastefully decorated. the covered veranda in front of the restaurant gives a homelike feeling of relaxed backyard (we were in the middle of the city,...but the street was not busy.) the service was attentive, but discreet. our variety of plates were not complicated (a mix of Mexican and North American,) but everyone prepared exactly right and at a very reasonable price. the personal was willing to help those of us whose Spanish was weaker. I would definitely go back.

I spent the weekend in puebla and decided to visit again don chucho on Friday to the new lunch menu. place got a facelift as they expanded their terrace. I tried the caprese salat and new pasta poblana, which were simply superb,...and they offered us to try another plate that they were in the menu next week, carne de chango (kartyl and chipotle sauce bark on tortillas, with a side of guacamole,) and was delicious. my tante tried the German who was good. since I liked the place so much, we visited the breakfast on Sunday before the home trip, and the breakfast is still excellent. the place was full and the service was not sorry. I had a few chipotle chilaquiles with huh and loved the spicy taste! we also had some fiber muffins with our coffee, and they were really good. we enjoyed our time in don chucho, eating is very good, prices are very reasonable, staff is very friendly and the owner / chef makes a point to come and chat with the customers. this place is worth visiting!

We stopped a morning for breakfast and I'm glad we chose this restaurant! we had ordered two eier benedikt and they were absolutely perfect! the eggs were cooked exactly right and the Hollandaise sauce was very good, creamy, but not too rich. our food was brought out, we got free churros and muffins, which was a welcome surprise, and also really tasted good. the service has cut everything well. the boss/owner came out to chat with us and made us feel very welcome. I can say a lot heart and soul goes into this place, and I would recommend this beautiful restaurant to everyone in cholula. eating is delicious and people there are very friendly.

This is my fifth visit to don chucho, and it is getting better. when we visit puebla, we don't go here without at least one breakfast. it was a very busy Sunday, place was packed, but we didn't wait long and. service hasn't been suffering.food still really great! I started with a cappuccino and an excellent panque de elote, so good that I go 6 pieces more and the torta azteca is simply super. this time they had some aguas frescas with interesting combinations available, Jamaica and guave, and gurke with ananas, both very refreshing and great aromen. family ordered chilaquiles, obstteller and rührei, and they were all very satisfied. that is definitiw one of my favorite places, the staff is very friendly and the overall experience was always like home friends. very much recommended!

I had a chance to visit this restaurant over the weekend for breakfast, and I was completely surprised by the overall experience. Relatively new restaurant, sitting on a busy Cholula avenue, has a new up and coming Chef, Veronica Musi, who has put together an...interesting menu with home made Mexican cuisine with some international favorites... there is always something about places where Chef/owners are at the front of the kitchen, they simply operate at another level... I tried the Torta Azteca with the Grandma Moctezuma recipe... and boy, did it DELIVER! Incredible taste and flavor combinations with textures, beautifully presented... my wife had Benedictine Eggs, and resulted superb! We also tried some la que de elote, simply delicious with a good cappuccino... atmosphere is really nice, you feel almost at home, and the service is very friendly.... for sure I will visit again and continue exploring the menu... if you are in the area, make sure to pay this place a visit, you will be pleased!
