Momo's - San Andreas

Momo's is a good snobby restaurant with nice atmosphere and valet parking in the newly booming South of Market area near the ballpark. Food and service are good. Notable is the wine list, where they charge only about 3 times the retail price--rather than the traditional high-end restaurant's 5x--so you can get good bottles of wine for a relatively decent price. As a result, our party ordered quite a few bottles! The only problem we had was with my chocolate sundae--it didn't have any chocolate in it. I was too angry at this irritation to correct it--I simply won't return, despite its other virtues. I have no intention of dining again at a fine restaurant where it's up to the customers to instruct the staff on the need for chocolate in a chocolate dessert. This may strike you as petty--especially if you're not a chocoholic--but it ruined an otherwise fine evening for me.

Really good food and ambience, some of the dishes are a must try

We ate dinner here and the vibe was good. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The timing of the food and drinks was great. The food was just okay. We started with cups of clam chowder, which tasted pretty good. Hubby ordered the NY steak frites. He requested medium and it was cooked more than he wanted (at least medium well). I chose the Dungeness crab mac and cheese. The crab was great. The mac and cheese was okay. I would have elected to make it with elbow pasta as opposed to the fusilli style. The brownie sundae was pretty good. Service 5/5, atmosphere 5/5, food 3.5/5.

Very classy. Amazing and worth every bite anything you try is sure to make a smile. My favorite. The French dip.

Nice location, near Oracle Park and South Beach Marina.
