Dona Esther Mexican Restaurant

Waited 45 min just for water after being seated, and completely ignored as others around us were being repeatedly waited on. Restaurant about half full, busy but not unreasonably so. I strongly do not recommend unless you know them personally and can expect unique treatment. There's a place across the street that may be better.

Very disappointed this is not at all authentic Mexican food. Was in San Bautista on a trip and had the worst lunch here. The staff is so unprofessional, it makes it uncomfortable eating there. The food is literally taken out of the microwave you can tell it’s not fresh at all.

I ordered what I thought was a steak dinner with chicken vegetable soup nope. Got a chicken broth with noodles without any vegetables and a stew like plate with rice and beans along with a tortilla. I had to ask for a server repeatedly for more to drink. The establishment let children run around and scream. This wasn't my idea of a pleasant night out. To their credit, portion sizes were large and those that dined with us liked it..

As usual Dona Esther's food was delicious and the service makes you feel like family. I always enjoy having dinner there.
