Bidra med feedbackWonderful nature for picnic or some brunch around this place... There are old iron and copper mines that you can visit and what I recommend. If you like to walk on hills or go thru forest, there are many places to go and enjoy.
It is amazing place much worth visiting. Very professional tour guide and best place to visit in summer hot day. Well done
Very nice mine, reopened and led by volunteers from the local folk music group. They really kept the spirit of the mine alive and tell the story of the mining history of the village of Rude. A tour takes about 45 minutes and costs 30 kuna per person. Definitely worth a visit! Open on Saturday and Sunday, with hourly tours from 10.00 to 16.00.
Large guided hike through the old copper and iron ore mines. Copper ore part is deep and not possible to make sightseeing (no air circulation in this part), so only a part where iron ore has been mined is accessible to tourists. It is about 380m walk through the access tunnels and mines with guides that all required information about mining and mining history. Short walk, with guide and all his talks takes less than 30 minutes. Rude (place where this mine is located) is just 10 minutes' drive from Samobor and about 35 40 minutes from Zagreb, so it's just a short drive away. If you are in Rude, you can try cakes called Rudarska greblica cakes that miners used to eat with them in mines. Even if you come from Zagreb on the way back, it is mandatory to stop in Samobor for a coffee and cake called kremsnita on the main square.
Very funny and unique experience. People who work there are well trained on the topic and well with fact (it was not boring). Head up, Beware of Berman
