Bidra med feedbackGood for small plates. Pub food. we wanted to go to the sister's restaurant next door, but that was waiting too long. we went to the copper common and were pleasantly surprised. they have some delicious small tellers and salads as well as a decent wine selection.
We tried this evening (new years eve) copper together and the atmosphere was great! the food was in order, we liked the small plates....the alcohol selection was sub par (no jack daniels, and no capean organ) but for other drinks they could be in order! but the real downer was the service....we had a hard time to understand our server and he didn't have much of a personality....we could give it another try though our first experience was not great.

Last month Ryan Lowder and the Copper Onion crew closed the doors on Plum Alley, even though its success had reached nationwide fame, to open Copper Commons in downtown Salt Lake City. The space–and concept–was revamped into a bar and the menu restructured for gourmet bar food in a small plates-style format. The Copper Common bar is a beautiful backdrop to the space. As I round up my game of catch up after disappearing during pregnancy – I am happy to let you all know, this girl finally got around to visiting Copper Common . Yes, it is true. I am once again, a living, breathing, Salt Lake City girl. While my sister was in town a few weeks ago, we decided to head to dinner and drinks at Copper Common (located where Plum Alley used to be and owned by Copper Onion chef, Ryan Lowder). We were ready to order the whole menu and have a great night of catch up – which is pretty much what we did. This is the perfect downtown spot for drinks and small bites that are still filling. Some of the best food we’ve had in Salt Lake City. We had the roasted cauliflower, whipped local feta toast, a burger, and the house soft serve among the two of us. Everything was delicious! I’m a vegetarian, so I especially appreciated the yummy veg friendly options. I will say I wasn’t a big fan of the wine selection here (it was good, just not my taste), but my partner liked the cocktails and the beer so maybe that’s a better go to for this spot. Food and service was a 10/10!
