Bidra med feedbackWe came here twice during our stay in Salou. The man who runs the bar is very friendly even though he has little english. He always give us little snacks with our drinks and we had a lovely lunch here sat in the sun. Nice portion sizes and good quality, better food then our hotel! It is also in a very nice and quiet area which seems more spanish than tourist.
This bar/restaurant is part of the complex that houses the central indoor market. This is in the midst of Old Salou, a short distance from the level crossing for the railway line and the station and just up the street from the Mercadona supermarket. It is only open during the day and closed in the evenings when the marked shuts and not open Sundays. This said, it is a lovely bar with outside seating as well as inside seating and a small restaurant area. Given good weather we opted to sit outside in the sun and watch the world go by over lunch. The menu on offer is varied, with all the usual pizza, chicken and chips as well as lovely Bocadillos (Spanish style of sandwich in a baguette). They offer freshly cooked Paella though we've yet to sample this. Prices are very reasonable and service is excellent, run by a family team of Father and Daughter. Ideal for a quick refreshing drink on your way back from the beach or after a shopping trip. Children are catered for, just request a half portion if required and they will happily oblige.
