Funiculi' - SALERNO

We stopped for a quick dinner, as it was just next door to our Bnb, and were surprised by the prices in the menu outside. The place is clean and nicely decorated, and the staff friendly and helpful. The calzoni we ordered came in quicly and were delicious, they have a selection of good and strong Italian and Belgian bottled beers and ales as well as Italian draft beer. In all the best pizza experience quality/price we had in Salerno.

My wife and I stumbled across this establishment while searching for somewhere traditionally Italian to dine on our first evening in Salerno and were not disappointed. In fact, we returned two more time during our two week stay to enjoy pizza at Funiculi. The experience was made all-the-more intriguing when paying the bill as it seems that change is calculated in another building, although any delays resulting were not a hindrance. The food is very good as is the hospitality.

We were recommended by a friend to try this place and were rather disappointed. They do have ample seating inside and even during the summer it wasn't too hot being near the ovens. The pizza was unimpressive and a little chewy (the crust). The price was reasonable, but it really isn't worth it when there are so many better alternatives in the area for good pizza.

If you are looking for a restaurant/pizzeria spartano in the center of salerno, funiculi' surely you will like. to welcome you to a great owner whose voice will accompany all your evening. every night there is to choose between the pizzas of the day. I have been there often, but it seems to say that the quality is a little down, at least for the Neapolitan calzone that I ordered that what in size is nothing but say, but the slice inside left me basic, negatively, it happens. contained prices and folkloric furnishings such as barrels and beer barrels. service not very fast but. It was Saturday night. Anyway, we sat down right now.

Good morning to all of you, we returned to climb as usual for a pleasant evening. Who knows how many times we've been through, and that night we decided to come in. but what we lost....!!! Cordiality and sympathy from the owner, control of the gp, obvious. The excellent pizzas, also the appetizers (fridges, stamps etc... )I recommend the rice stamp, excellent cooking, pizzas all excellent...Bravi, good... The roommate very little salty
