Bidra med feedbackWe ordered an ice cream and a carrot cake during our visit into Salem. My husband enjoyed the ice cream while I took 1 bite from the cake and realized it was stale. It was the last piece of cake so I went back in and told them. I was told it wasn?t staleand they wouldn 't return my money because I took a bite from it. How else would I know it was stale?? So someone else came overand took the cake and started smashing it with the fork telling me its not stale and it has a white chocolate icing. What? Whitechocolate icing on a carrot cake? No it 's stale...back to it... I had 2 people talking to me at once and I go to answer the 1person while the other gives me an attitude and says are you listening to me? I said I was answering his question so don 't berude to me. She continues with her extremely rude condescending attitude....they then expected me to take it back after the cakesmashing. I told them to throw it out. I walked out to tell my husband how rude they were and the people sitting outside said you felt that way too? I thought it was just us . So sad when you don 't pay any attention to your customer 's concerns. I wasplanning on coming back later for the hot cider but I 'll pass. You should too!
Could not have loved this place more during our end of august 2022 visit. We came here and got chocolates and icecream twice in one weekend. The Halloween decorations made it feel like spooky season even though it was still the tail end of summer
Friendly and fun! The owner is wonderful and the sweets are on point!! It's my late night stop for a perfect midnight snack!
We stopped in to get some ice cream and candies. The shop was beautifully stocked, staff polite and attentive. My husband had to go get his wallet, so I was left to browse. As soon as the owner entered the shop, everything changed. She began snapping at thestaff, criticizing them, blaming them for her low sales, all knowing I was right there as a customer. She was rude and snarky tothem. What, are you sleeping?! and other sentiments. I had put my husband 's coat on a chair and I heard her boom out, Whosecoat is this?! I piped up saying that it was my husband 's, who had gone to get his wallet. She didn 't show any shame,apologize.. just said that people forget things there. She had bogarded the table I had set his coat at, so I had to move it toanother table, since she 'd parked everything at the table we had wanted. She saw me move and didn 't apologize for thateither. After about ten more minutes of listening to her complain and blame, I couldn 't take her attitude or the awkwardatmosphere so wrote a note on a napkin explaining that her behavior has caused us to leave. I left it on the table she invadedfrom us, called my husband and left. We went to Terry 's Old Fashion instead, where the service was excellent, the ice creamphenomenal, and the energy fun. We in general didn 't enjoy Salem, honestly. Most people were frowning, staring, shouting at eachother on the street.. most businesses have politics proudly displayed everywhere on their windows and other places. The Maria 'sexperience was the last straw. Unless we 're visiting Terry 's again and doing a night time tour, we won 't be back to Salem-probably ever.
Fun place made me feel like a kid again. After a very cool historical ghost tour through the Witch City, Salem, MA, we walked by this sweet shop. Large variety of fantastic sweets, treats, and eats. Lots of gourmet candies that would make great gifts. Attached ice cream parlor serving up a lot of flavors. There 's a 'baby ' size for getting a taste and bigger sizes if you want alot or want to try multiple frozen delights. Green Monster (mint Oreo and fudge) and Moose Tracks were my combo. Mrs. Wallygot Blueberry Pie. Staff was super friendly and made good recommendations. Definitely worth a visit. Bring cash or your ATMcard, they only take cash at the moment.
