Gerry Frank's Konditorei - Salem

1st time customer and I purchased a slice of Orange “Goodness” not the name but a good descriptive. It was amazing. I want to go back and try lunch and take home one of their cakes or at least a few different slices.

I went in here to get some nice rich cheesecake. What I got was Walmart grade cheesecake. You are not supposed to put chocolate cake frosting on cheesecake. The chocolate cake frosting tastes horrible btw. You have the same exact cake frosting on the two different flavors of cheesecake I bought. You've got to make each and every cheesecake unique and rich, It's supposed to be an art piece. The inside of the Turtle and Truffle Cheescakes were mid par also. The cheesecake from Safeway has more flavor. It seems like the baker here has lost their passion or is just blindly following a recipe wrong. Kinda disappointed for $7.5 a slice. It looks 10 times better than it tastes, should be the other way around. But great customer service and friendly staff.

Love this place. Paninis are tasty, turkey/chicken salad croissants are the best I've ever had. The treats are a little expensive (we're used to getting them from the Lovin Oven in Stayton who supplies them to the Konditrei for half the price : but worth it.

Very disappointed. Checked the website before going to find out hours of food service. My friend and I wanted quiche or possibly soup and salad. Upon ordering we were told they were out of quiche and out of soup! It was only 5:00pm and there site says food is served until 6pm. The counterperson said they run out of these items often. So my thought was.. why not make a little extra each day so you don't run out. So we decide to have dinner somewhere else and just take dessert to go. We then wait patiently for the woman behind the counter to finish emptying the trash. She asked what we what and cuts the cake and wraps it ... WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS FIRST!! Mind you she had just been touching the trash. :

Food, ambiance, PASTRIES!!! Highly recommend everyone try this place out, so yummy!!!
