Bidra med feedbackDivided already, but it is worth eating as an excellent value for money. the personal was attentive and also offered us water for our dogs. three cursor meal with wine, apple wine, water and coffee 40 euro, we will visit again, eat well presented, and tasty as if it had been cooked with carefree.
Very pleasant evening! a sober interieur, but with a beautiful view of the castle. five cursor menu with typical French set for a very pleasant price.
Comfortable location. to our bikes in the garage. good quality restaurant. we were given €7 €80 instead of €73) more than the booking agency/guaranteed. if this appears from our perspective trivial, then it is also small of its, especially if we...spent €200 or there is in the restaurant for a meal for 4. after we had secured the hotel booking, we telephoned to book the restaurant; they were clearly grumpy and said we had booked both hotel and restaurant by phone instead of using the agency for accommodation. α
The restaurant opens lunch and evening, the "formule du midi" meal times are extremely good value for money (3 courses for 12euros80) and both good quality and generous in quantity, the restaurant is pleasantly ordered and spacious with magnificent views of the castle and the adjacent landscape....Parking is simple and spacious. the kitchen is of very good quality and honors the products of the region. the service is professional. the owners like to share their knowledge about the kitchen and the place. our friends who are based in the hotel were positiw in their appreciation of their stays.
We popped in on a Thursday morning (11.50am) for lunch at 12 noon hoping they'd be open and not turn us away before noon. They were and we weren't. We had the Plat du Jour of three courses each at 12.80€ pp. One starters was...nems (Chinese spring roll) which looked a bit on the small side but was stuffed with crab and was lovely, other starter was salad with egg and was presented beautifully. Mains were salmon risotto (gorgeous) and other was Jambon grillée (ham with pureed potatoes and veg) which hubby said didn't look too inviting but was very tasty. Desserts were apple tart, lovely, and flambéd banana: flambéd with Calvados and hubby nearly set a world record for finishing a dessert, it was so delicious. 50cl red wine =7.50€ This is a very nice place to eat for equivalent of £10 for three courses. One side of the restaurant you're looking at the Château de St Sauveur Le Vicomte (12-14th century castle) and t'other has beautiful fields with trees and a meandering river. The road in front of the hotel isn't busy and barely heard through the thick walls and superb double glazing. It'd be hard to beat the price, quality and location. Very, very good and we will return. An added bonus for us was the waitress spoke in French but very clearly enabling my poor French skills to understand what she said. She was the star turn for me, truly helpful which I very much appreciated.
