Golf Hotel Grenoble Charmeil

I just stayed one night since I was traveling. Very convenient location close to the highway and in a very calm and quiet place. Great price/quality relation. Only problem...frogs in the pond were too noisy

I actually stayed at the Hotel but feel the restaurant deserves its own comment. This was a wonderful experience. The food that comes out of that kitchen is outstanding. My first meal was the A-la Carte dinner. I was firstly so impressed with the presentation, but then when I tasted the food, it was one of those moments when eating good food that you just want to savour.I chose the fish catch of the day, incredible, I've eaten some wonderful food all over the world and this place is up there. The kitchen Chefs and Staff can be very proud of themselves. It doesn't matter weather you order bar snacks or menu. After a game of golf one day I had the homemade burger. I kid you not, No burger chain could ever match the quality and size of that lovely piece of meat. Add to this I felt a genuine friendliness and professionalism from the Bar and Floor staff. My Belgium friends and I really enjoyed the whole experience.

This is a golf hotel, in winter it's empty and all bit strange. Good bar and reasonable restaurant , but no English spoken and the English menu doesn't match the French so expect surprises (like blue cheese filled ravioli rather than shrimp)
