Le Somail - Saint-Pons-de-Thomières

I went there today with my wife and teo kids right after the market and it was good; portion are quite big and the quality/price is decent. The staff is very kid friendly. Will go again

Nous sommes allez manger en milieu de semaine et avons pris le menu du jour (entrée plat dessert) un régal et y somme retourner en fin de semaine pris menu a 20€ un régal aussi. L’accueil rien a redire.Quoi dire de plus que les autres commentaires a part IL FAUT Y ALLER ABSOLUMENT.

The restaurant was clean, the staff (family owned business) friendly and helpful. The four of us had the menu du jour and were not disappointed! A help yourself salad buffet, turkey beef and pork served with frites and salad for main, choice of dessert, coffee and wine included all for the princely sum of 14 euros, very satisfying!

We arrived here after a trip round the vineyards. At 2 pm all the other restaurants only offered sandwiches, In spite of being at the end of service they still served us, rare in a French restaurant. We had the €13.50 lunch special with starter from a self serve salad buffet with pâtés, seafood (love whelks), salads, various dressings we could have filled up with this course alone. This followed by the dish of the day brilliantly cooked belly pork, crisp and delicious served with hand made fries. To follow a chunk of a soft French cheese (did not get the name shame) with bread à volonté throughout the meal. All topped off with 1/4 litre each of a St Chinian red wine! Highly recommended and we will go again when we return to the area.

We have enjoyed many lunches here, both the menu of the day and a la carte, all have been good value and enjoyable. This bar/restaurant is welcoming and friendly to everyone. The food is always presented well and the flavours good. We continue to return so it must be good!
