Bidra med feedbackIts very sad when one of your favorite spots to eat goes to **** smh. I was trying to hold out for as long as I can without writing this review to see if they would make it right but unfortunately now they don't even answer their phones. I have ordered wings from here at least 10 times and always had a great experience. I even branded this place as having some of the best wings I have ever had bc their old cook was amazing and made his own sauce called the fish sauce (I think Fish was his last name). Not too long ago I called to place an order for some wings. I was on my way to an appointment so picked them up to eat on the way there. Wings smelled great and looked great but I took a bite into the first one and literally blood dripped out of it. They were extremely undercooked. Being that I was a regular and went their numerous times without an issue, I just called and let them know and was told they would credit me some wings. Normally I would be like thats it?? but since every other experience has been great, I didn't make it a big deal. Today marks the 5th time I have tried to get these wings and the last time I will ever attempt to. 1st attempt....we are sorry we do not have wings we only have burgers. 2nd attempt....we are sorry we have no fried foods today at all. 3rd attempt...called for 30 minutes until I decided to just go in. When I got there I purposely called as I was walking up and heard the phone ringing and the bartender was sitting at the bar having a conversation. I was already over but said screw it and tried to order the wings. 10 minutes into waiting for them guess what??? The fryer stopped working lol. I'm not trying to write a novel so I won't go over the 4th and 5th time but I will NEVER go to Sandbar, suggest anyone to Sandbar, or even eat Sandbar if it was for free. Its sad because this place was a hidden gem and now just another poorly managed and owned establishment.
Who doesn't like decent drink prices and a friendly relaxed neighborhood bar feeling place ? My first reaction this place is a lot bigger than it appears on the outside. As a matter of fact don't judge it by its exterior appearance there's nothing going for it. On the inside enjoy a friendly staff, lots of tables, chairs, a big bar and pool tables. We didn't have food, so there's not much to say about that. What I can say is, I'll be back.
Nice clean place with friendly service. Potato chips are made here and very good. Plenty of tv's for news and sports. Twelve draft beer selections. Cold beer. Had the hot ham and cheese wrap, delicious. Overall, good experience.
Dear Owner of Sandbar, Are you deliberately trying to shut this place down? It's a shame because it's a great place as far as dive bars go! For several months in a row now your bar has been barely stocked. How can you be open on a Friday night and have no call brands or draft beers available? The kitchen closing is at least somewhat understandable. People really like this place and they want to patronize your business, but it's been so long since the bar has been properly stocked that a lot of people have probably given up on the place. I live in the neighborhood and am an accountant with bartending experience. Message me! I'd love to help get our neighborhood bar back on its feet!
Okay so I am a foodie. I spend a lot of time on the road as a sales rep and I eat out all over the state and into Georgia. I have eaten at restaurants ranging from Capital Grill to hole in the walls. I have my favorite for each city. Hands down the cook named 'Fish ' is by far the best cook I have found in a small restaurant. I would put him up against any of the chefs from any of the restaurants I have eaten in. If I was going to start a restaurant I would want him to be the cook. If he were to go to another restaurant I 'd follow him for my meals as well. PS. The bartender Lisa kicks butt too.
