Central Melt - SAINT PETERSBURG

In the heart of the very hip inner city st pete. real comfort food. delicious grilled cheese sandwiches, with all types of variants. large hand-cut French fries. it was not really important for the tomaten soup, but this is quite a question of personal preference. I like a different kind of tomatensuppe. owner and server we are both very nice and it is a friendly place to talk to the parachutes on the switch. a little on the expensive side for grilled cheese sandwiches, but they are top quality, made with big ingredients. Now that tom chee is closed in tyrone, this is the only grilled cheese house in the city. will definitely be back. menschen in our party had the classic grilled cheese with tomato, another person had the infamous pig. we had something different and everyone enjoyed it.

Grill cheese is one of those things that remind you of your childhood. We were walking and perusing the shops around central and ran into this little place. We almost walked by, but the thought of a grill cheese was permiating my mind. They have the classic as well as other interesting versions, tomato soup and fresh cut french fries. It's not a big place, but you can pull up a stool at the diner bar and watch all the action happen. If you are with a friend and need a break from your shopping, stop by to remember the comforts of home. And sorry mom, their grill cheese is better than yours.

The sandwich was really good, and I loved the atmosphere. You really have to love grilled cheese though. Giving it 4 stars just because it was too cheesy for me. Others will absolutely love it!

Like the name suggests, Central Melt delivers a grilled cheese sandwich worth talking about (hence the review). I got the classic grilled cheese with bacon and tomato added. My friend got a specialty sandwich featuring Gouda and some other toppings I won’t misremember here. Both were fantastic. Overflowing with gooey cheese and sandwiches between two firm, perfectly toasted slices of bread, this was a sandwich that reminded me that basic ingredients can create exceptional experiences. The décor was hip without being pretentious, relaxed but not sloppy. Staff was friendly and the added feature of a fridge full of Made cold brew coffee (brewed and canned in St. Pete) makes this a can’t-miss spot for anyone from or visiting the area.

We were awaiting the opening of Central Melt with great anticipation and they not only delivered but exceeded expectations!!! We tried both the classic with bacon and the roast beef on fleek. Both were amazing! The tomato soup is also one of the best I've ever tasted. Dont miss the fries which are lightly seasoned and not at all greasy. Definitely coming back!
