Bidra med feedbackThis place is so cute. The staff is very polite and the food is excellent. I am Laotian and this restaurant gave me a piece of home and comfort to me when I come to the Twin Cities. The service is okay, but the food is incredible. My food came out super fast and super fresh. Definitely recommend the khaopiek, the meatball sticks with tamarind dipping sauce, and the rice rolls. Everything is exceptional spicy which I love because I am Asian haha. If you’re ever in St. Paul and want some amazing Southeast Asian food, you should come to Little Asia Cafe!!! :
Truly enjoyed this spot. Food (is) was amazing, staff (is) was amazing, and is a great spot for family or friends! A little disappointed with egg rolls but the spring rolls were delicious. Great work Little Asia Cafe! Am not disappointed! Will gladly come back!
The place was fairly big. However, I was disappointed in the papaya because as I was eating it, I found a piece of hair in my papaya than i ended up having to throw the whole thing away. Everything else was just fine but I waited forever for my food to be brought out to me for a full blown 30 minutes because it was really busy. I ordered the tri color dessert and they told me they ran out. The pork belly was overcooked and dry. Waitress took forever to come and take our order after they seated us after 10 minutes of sitting down. I received all my food first and my boba tea last which was also dissapointing so thats why I am rating it 3/5 because of the experience i had.
I personally enjoy the food that I get from Destiny Cafe 2, given that this location used to be the first Destiny Cafe’ Prior. Therefore, the menu and choice of food are similar and that also goes towards taste as well, overall. However, I got the Kaopia here- and it wasn’t great honestly. It definitely tasted store bought, I’m talking about the noodle quality. It was also hard and thick- not soft and fresh. The only fresh thing about it is the broth that was poured on top of it- other than that, I’d never order Kaopia from here ever again- but overall, I can’t say the same for the other entrees. The usual dishes that I mirror from Destiny Cafe 2, taste’s equivalent therefore, that’s that.
Ya know. The last time I was here was about 10 years ago went it was still Destiny Cafe 1. I love to support small businesses and like to recommend good places. This place was typical. Staff was nice and water refills was okay. Time for our food to come: 1 hour and about 20 minutes. Pho special: 3/10 Hot water, sliced meatballs, 3 pieces of tendon, cut up cilantro, some tripe. I wished there was some body to the broth. It was hot water. There is not enough hoisin and or sirracha to fix this. Bean spouts and basil was fresh, ish. Chicken wings: 7/10 Not bad. Didn't taste old. Kids enjoyed them. Eggrolls: 5/10. Stuffing was eh. Must be vegetarian because there was no meat. Spring rolls: 8/10 It was actually pretty good. Wrapper was fresh, veggies crisp. Meat and shrimp was good. Even the dipping sauce had a little burn to it. I liked it. Kudos! Kaopoon: 5/10 not enough juice to soak up flavor. It wasn't bad, but meat selection was small. A ton of veggies. Kaw paw, pork: 5/10. Green beans, bamboo, and meat. Fried egg was in my opinon, over cooked. Flavor was salt. Beef larb medium spicy, no bitter: 3/10. If there a bit more flavor, it would have been good. This combo would be better if it was raw, but with this being cooked, the flavor was bland. Would I come here again? Probably not.
