Checker Board Pizza - Saint Paul

LITERALLY had to call back THREE TIMES to get a very simple pizza (all meat with mushrooms) delivered correctly. This used to be one of my favorite places. Not anymore.

A staple of the Twin Cities restaurant scene for me since moving here in 2012, perfect for your own personal good days AND your bad ones. Always baked to perfection with an ideal crust-to-sauce-to-cheese-to-topping ratio. Square cut and never needs another pass by a cutter at home. Friendly service and some very good side options (the garlic breadsticks and donuts especially). I?ll continue ordering from them as long as they?ll let me!

The food is always great! We do alot of take out during the summer and usually order online. Only problem I have found is that neither one of the menu's are updated online! So you get a huge surprise when you order now! It's now 5 or 10 dollar increase either, which would be reasonable for this great pizza wings! Just be careful when ordering online or using the online menu's!!!

Great place to feed a big family. Had to catch em while they cry. But look pizzas are huge.

The food here was good. I ordered for pickup, it took about 30 minutes for a pizza and breadsticks on a Wednesday evening. The reason I removed a star was because the toppings on the pizza didn?t want to stay on the pizza crust, especially the non-crust edge pieces of the pizza. This made eating the pizza a little difficult. It?s manageable though. I would go back here. The price is great for the amount of food you get.
