Le Voltaire - Saint-Ouen

We stopped casually in this restaurant after our visit to the flea markt in the zone! The restaurant was crowded but we found a small place where to eat! The service was really quick and the waitresses were kind and nice! The food was really...good and fresh! I suggest you to eat the crème brûlé, which was really tasting

After having lunch here I can't figure out why this place had so many customers. The reviews are good and the place was packed so we expected a good meal.An inordinate wait for the table and seemingly random picks for some people in the queue...to get a table more quickly than others.The pictures of dishes shown here on the website did not reflect the food we were served: a watery onion soup with a slab of bread with melted cheese on top, a tired caesar salad with dry, unseasoned bits of chicken with a weird dressing, pickles and walnut crumbs.

This place has a really nice atmosphere and is very popular with the locals. They do a set lunch for €13.50 which was excellent value. I had a big piece of salmon and delicious courgette gratin followed by Greek yoghurt and fruit coulis, it was...very good. Highly recommended.

To be fair, we came late for lunch and the kitchen was closed. We chose the chicken leg. It was dry, came without the chips and the service was friendly, but stressed and erratic. So overall not a great experience.

The best place to eat on weekends. Mixing of locals and tourists on the flea markets. Out of the doors. Fabulous
