Bidra med feedbackIn fact for several years this location now houses another restaurant called L'Accent Du Soleil, which is a fine dining restaurant and is excellent. It is run by a couple, with the husband as chef and his wife as front of the house. They are very friendly and the cuisine is both refined and creative.
In August 2013, I had issued a very favourable opinion on this restaurant. In 2015, I keep it on all the points covered: top dishes, top reception, top service, top setting. Of course, prices are not given. But it's definitely worth it. We're on top of the line and the establishment keeps its promises.
Can do better... (attention this review concerns Le Coin Lost at MONTPELLIER! Tested in the evening at the end of August, drawn that we were by positive reviews and a rather attractive map. Let's start by saying that the service was perfect: attentive staff and perfect rhythm. Table on the terrace (summer temperatures force but in fact a terrace, you find yourself in the street (or alley!). , stuck against the wall of the sign, and so we have to bear, the sound and olfactory nuisances of the scooters of kebab pounders or other pizzas that fry your chair. In the plate, it's pretty good... but as JF Piège says it's a little lacking in relation to the promise of the titles. Lack of an audacious hair in flavors, a quality hair (the vanilla ice had glitters, the cabbage dough was weak, the creamy risotto..., and a hair of refinement in the dressages. In short, we felt the desire to do well and surprise, but the realization is not quite up to me. In the glass the wines (regional were perfect, even if we could have waited for the white to be served in its ice bucket. In the end, a salty addition for a good but not extraordinary meal.
Original and creative dishes that emphasize the excellence and freshness of the products. Four of us enjoyed an excellent lunch here and could not mistake the food, presentation or service. The foie grass was excellent, the longoustine tasty, fish boiled to perfection and tasty,...delicate deserts. This restaurant was formerly known as Le Coin Perdu and there are still some confusion about the name as outdated signage is still present. In fact, it is a completely new team and a first prize cook with many years of experience in a star restaurant that now runs this attractive restaurant in Saint Martin de Londres, near Montpellier and the prestigious Pic Saint Loup wine region. Worth a detour!
This restaurant has recently changed hands (in the last 18 months). Now owned by a man and woman team, Sylvie and Philippe Combet (previously a longstanding cook in a Relais and Chateaux de France near Cahors) decided to run their own business.... What a good decision for us the customers. While the invisible façade still has the name Coin Perdu, it is now called L'accent du Soleil. I think the original name is probably more appropriate as it is difficult to find from sat nav, at least was in our Peugeot 208. After chatting to other customers, it seems the quality of the food has improved significantly from previous owners. The interior is modern with well spaced tables and probably has more atmosphere at evening seats. The staff were welcoming, even if we arrived at lunch without reservation directly at the top of the closing time. Not often a feature of France. We had the 36 Euro menu that was an appetizer, main and either dessert or cheese. We had the dessert and found every course error-free. Cooking was imaginative, tasteful and delicate. Each course had a selection of two dishes and we had different dishes at each course and they were consistently excellent. We live in Languedoc and eat regularly and can honestly say that this is the best restaurant where we have eaten. The others we visited were often abandoned by a course, and therefore we were never tried to make another visit. This was fine food for modest costs, and is worth a detour. Very recommended. We're back with friends.
