Courte-Paille - Saint-Martin-de-Crau

We had a Sunday lunch while travelling. The service was ok. But the piece du Boucher meat was hard and with no taste at all.

If you need to eat rather quickly something good, you may try that restaurant. Meal is not wonderful, but staff tries his best to offer you something rather tasty. Choice is rather large and you can have either a steak or a more local meal like andouillette for instance. Good value for money.

Two young ladies running the place. We ordered the August Offer (a mixed grill .. Whilst the morsel of steak was fine the lamb piece was full of 'arteries ' so unappetising! One of the sausages had to have had 'freezer burn ' it smelt awful! We made no delay in complaining ! Our complaint fell on deaf ears!! And we were disgusted by the lack of response! Not good by any means coming no where near customer service! Simply, we were saddened we hadn 't visited McDonalds! Both the food service would have had to have been better!

It is what you would expect from a decent restaurant for highway travelers, though I expect most of the diners were locals at this Courte-Paille. It is very clean, bright, comfortable. Service is good. Food is dependable. There is a wide variety of foods and preparation is good. Nothing is super good and this is not a place to have a great French dining experience. However, for a decent meal, with plenty to eat and quick service(comparatively) in a comfortable setting, Courte-Paille can be trusted to deliver. Just like similar restaurants in the US, the prices are a bit high but not crazy expensive.
