Bidra med feedbackWhat should I say? everything we have ordered was fantastic, a lot of aromen that are simply seamlessly connected to each other. I will have the photos for myself.
Friends brought me to this wonderful restaurant on Saturday evening as tasty bites. they would reasonably be booked in advance because it was too busy, including catering for a small wedding party. they are known to the owners and were warmly welcomed. we sat until 9.30 clock outside and...hadow attentive, personalized service as well as tasty eating and wein. and the desserts were wonderful. if they want a contract, it will be hard to find better than that before.
We arrived rather early and found ourselves alone in the restaurant so thought we had selected badly. Not at all. Soon filled up with French families and the reason was also soon obvious. Delightful food well presented, well cooked. A great place.
L'Abricotier boasts a Michelin Bib Gourmand but it's hard to say why. This semi-rural restaurant-with-rooms is immediately opposite the main-line railway from Bordeaux to Toulouse: although the bedrooms mostly face the other way, it is hardly in a desirable setting. Nonetheless, the pretty garden behind...the building retains considerable charm. There is an attractive small swimming pool, generous parking, and the shaded dining terrace is a most attractive. The cooking is thoroughly decent but also rather ordinary. One eats well enough here, but sadly there is no sign of the extra refinement or added creativity that would justify its Bib Gourmand. What has happened here since Michelin first granted its accolade, and have they not been here recently? However, it is not a bad address. The service is courteous and the food is perfectly pleasant, if routine. We enjoyed our simple dinner here: if our expectations had been lower, we might have enjoyed it even more. What a pity that the Michelin Guide is not more reliable.
I wanted to love this place so much! Inexplicably the lady owner seems generally disinterested to engage diners; no welcome at all on arrival magically her attention piqued at bill time manning a credit card machine that you're told to get up from your...table and walk to through several empty dining rooms to pay at the bar! Why? Whilst the setting is idyllic with the promise of lovely food the plating is lazy and messy, a big no no though was the bloodline in the white tuna carpaccio which was not excised. (See picture) it was also way overdressed almost soaking. Irrespective of which main course you choose, the veggie garnish replicates on every dish..and is cold! The most bothersome element for me is the staff working in and out of the kitchen looked browbeaten and under loved and affronted by screaming from the kitchen which you could here wafting throughout the meal. This explains morale around here! 5/10
