Bidra med feedbackMy daughter and I visited Copia for the first time during Clayton's Restaurant Week. The restaurant has only been open for about seven months, so there were some kinks to be worked out. We had to wait a few minutes before being greeted by the hostess, who seemed to be French. However, despite the initial bumps, the food more than made up for it. The Restaurant Week menu had a great selection of Italian comfort dishes with a St. Louis twist in the desserts. I had the Copia Salad, Shrimp Grits, and Bread Pudding, while my daughter opted for the charcuterie board. The Copia Salad was bursting with flavor, with ripe tomatoes and tangy red wine-soaked red onions. The Shrimp Grits were perfectly cooked, with a nice texture to the grits. The Bread Pudding was reminiscent of monkey bread, with a crispy outer layer and gooey center, served with a delicious salted caramel sauce. Overall, despite a few hiccups, we had a great dining experience at Copia. Visit 2 Lovely City Girls on IG for more restaurant reviews.
After visiting this restaurant for the first time, I was thoroughly impressed. The food was delicious and perfectly prepared, the service was exceptional, and I adored the decor. It was surprising to see that they weren't very busy, but I suspect word will spread quickly. I highly recommend this place!
This place is fantastic. I loved the photos and wooden decorations.
First mention is what Copia is NOT. His amazing look and ambience made me think it was a high-end steak place and I thought another high-end steak joint in Clayton? But that's the point. Although they have Steak and Prime Rib as good as their neighbours, but at a fraction of the price, Copia is a casual wine bar/restaurant with medium-sized award-winning dishes of all kinds and varieties. Take off the atmosphere, but don't be frightened. I love this place. During my first visit five of us came in and we all had different things. The Gumbo was amazing, like the Steak and Prime Rib. I would read the service in other reviews, but we had no problems at all. Friendly, fast and great. I was now back for lunch (two times) and another dinner, and everything was consistently great. It is on the less visited side of Clayton, but it is worth checking. Reviews can sometimes kill a place, but whatever this place had, they turned it around.
We love Copia. Great food great location. Great owner. Check it out...you won’t be disappointed.
