Bidra med feedbackThey prioritize customers that call to come pick-up. Last week, I waited in line for 10 minutes until the girl at the front finally acknowledged me. She kept on answering calls when I was right in front of her ready to order... Tonight my boyfriend and I walked 20 minutes to go eat there. Once we got there there were only 2 other customers waiting for their order to be ready. We order and the girl at the front tells us that there is a one hour wait !? we had only ordered 2 pokebowls ... They prioritize the orders by phone rather than prioritizing the customers that are actually there. Wouldn’t have mind a 15 minutes wait or something but one hour is completely ridiculous. So definitely if you want to go eat there, call to order in advance as they are pretty much just a pick-up restaurant rather than a eat-on-the-spot type of restaurant...
OK, I'll admit I'm a bit of a sushi addict. I discovered the Sushi Shop franchise (also tried a couple downtown Montreal). They offer both regularly made throughout the day pre-packaged combos which you can grab and pay for as well as a fairly decent menu of both traditional sushi (nigiri and maki) sashimi as well as a number of innovation: sushi pizza, sushi ball, hako and a few soups and other veggie options. Service is always prompt and courteous, prices are reasonable, especially given the high quality of ingredients and fresh real-time preparation. For my own taste the traditional menu is better than the innovations but that's likely personal. Maguro (tuna) is a bit blend but that's being a bit picky. Strongly recommended!!!
I ordered takeout on a Friday and discovered hair in my sushi when I got home. I tried reaching out to customer service with pictures and emails, but received no response. When I tried to submit a claim on the website, it didn't work. I eventually contacted the manager of the restaurant, who was unhelpful and stated that pictures were not sufficient proof, even with a receipt. She insisted I bring the sushi in for inspection, but I had already thrown it away. She claimed that without the food, there was no proof and she couldn't do anything. I wasn't seeking compensation, just offering advice to prevent future incidents. It seems the restaurant's customer service is even worse than their food hygiene. After emailing and posting a review on Facebook, they responded with an apology and said they would investigate, but it has been over a month with no follow-up.
For those looking for fast sushi without sacrificing flavor, this spot is a perfect pick. The employees are knowledgeable and quite amiable, especially for a fast food joint. I particularly enjoy their Smokey and Volcano rolls, but they offer a diverse menu to suit every palate. I strongly suggest stopping by when you're craving sushi but short on time.
If you're in a hurry and in the mood for sushi, this place isn't too bad. Everything is average, the atmosphere isn't particularly inviting, and compared to other locations in the same chain, it's not as welcoming.
