Bidra med feedbackWe decided to give this restaurant a try and spent one hundred dollars on our meal. The food was quite disappointing, mainly consisting of noodles with a small portion of meat and vegetables on top. We have tried Chinese cuisine in various restaurants across Canada, but we would not recommend this particular one. While some reviews mentioned dishes like chicken balls, our experience with the authentic Chinese dishes was subpar.
The price of $15 for Combo A is unbeatable. The combination of chicken and pork was amazing! It was cooked perfectly, not too much or too little. Although my order was not ready when originally quoted, I understand that sometimes there may be a wait, especially on a Friday. My usually very picky rescue cat absolutely loved the spare rib sauce. He never eats out of my hand, but he couldn't get enough of the sauce. Just seeing how much he enjoyed it was enough to make me want to come back. The dough, flavor, and everything else was excellent. While the egg roll was not to my liking (too much cinnamon for my taste), it was still well-cooked and made with quality ingredients. I will definitely be ordering again!
I recently ordered takeout from Chef Chinese Kitchen Delight in Saint John and was impressed by the quality of the ingredients and generous portions at reasonable prices. The House Special I tried was a mix of pork, beef, chicken, large shrimp, vegetables, and mushrooms, all cooked to perfection. The dish was not too spicy but had a great blend of flavors. The restaurant was busy with customers picking up orders, as no dine-in was allowed due to Covid-19 precautions. Overall, it was a delicious and satisfying meal that I would highly recommend. Goodbye 2020, and cheers to a happy new year!
I have to go to the boss at 8:45. Inaugurated and ordered for the takeout. My meal was ready in 10 minutes and stayed hot enough to drive an hour and we didn't need to heat! Excellent! How did they do that?!? They closed at 9:00, just after... I picked up my food. The place does not look like much, and you may need to knock on the counter to get their attention, but it is really good Chinese food and the staff was friendly. The lemon chicken was beautiful; crushed chicken bites with a sweet lemon sauce. The pig lo mine was pork and vegetables on a bed of noodles; just because you've ordered my somewhere else, you don't expect the same. The pig and the noodles are a constant, but everything else is for interpretation. I found the taste of this version less sharp than most, but with fresh vegetables and more of them. I love it! The egg rolls were also tasteful and very hot (temperaturewise). The chicken roast rice was made like most others. The total cost of meal including taxes and before tip was $37.85.
With lots of places we won 't go, and our favourite out of commission, we gave this a try. The lady up front is from Lily(? in Parkway, which was fine until it got taken out by the ultra-bland MLQ. The sign and name are reminiscent...of the old place in the tiny pizzaman bldg in Rothesay now occupied by a better "chinese "resto. Anyway; portions were generous, meat and veggies in abundance, served HOT, BUT! Devoid of flavour. It 's like everything including the meat was boiled in plain water, not even broth. We tried to gussy the leftovers up with soy sauce and gochujang without much success. The last dish of leftovers languished in the fridge a few days and got thrown out, something that has NEVER happened at our house. It 's like the "chef "got A+ in every almost every class but was sick on the days they taught carmelization and seasoning. YMMV
