Bidra med feedbackIt's been awhile since I've been to Slickity Jim's Chat Choux. I recently found out about this location when I was waiting around in a coffee shop. I needed a place to have brunch with friends and didn't want to run into the brunch rush so we ended up at this location on 7th. . The restaurant is a bit small but it has a very interesting decor similar to the Rompus Room or Sofie's Cosmic Diner. We had to wait a bit because we were a party of 5, the food took a bit to arrive as well cause it all arrived at the same time. As for the food, I ordered the special which were baby back ribs, corn bread, eggs any way, and roasted potatoes. The baby back ribs were fall off the bones delicious and too bad this isn't on their daily menu cause it was fantastic. The next highlight for me was the potatoes. They are as good as I remembered them to be with a nice crust.
If you want a fresh clean breakfast this is the place to go found it this past summer had the quinoa and kale with poached egg was so fresh and tasty I dream about it
Had some lunch here today. It was decent. I wasn't blown away at all by it, but the price was right. The only thing I don't really like about this place is that they don't serve liquor. I like to get my buzz on, on a Saturday morning. Instead I had water.
This week's weather has been pouring rain but that doesn't stop me from going out to get food to warm up my belly. I came across this little joint called Slickity Jim's Chat Choux along West 7th. Walked in during lunch hours and was seated at the bar. They had two chairs along the bar with full visual of the back kitchen and cash desk. Not much of a view, so after a while, I moved myself to a much more comfortable seating with a view of outside. The one thing that drew me into this little spot was their signage outside indicating their lunch special: Chicken Pesto Quesadilla with any chosen side $11.50).
