Castella Cheesecake

Cute and subtle cafe in a beautiful area, amazing cheese tarts, really yummy croissants filled with ice cream, and honestly blew my mind and exceeded my expectations! Definitely recommend and will be returning!

I revisited Castello Cheesecake after about three years, and they've expanded their menu. Back then, it was just cheese and chocolate tarts. Now, they've added apple raspberry and blueberry cheese tarts, which I found quite tasty. The tart crust crumbles easily, making it a bit messy to eat.I enjoy their cheese tart when it's chilled; the cheese in cheese tart usually has a runny consistency when it's warm which I am not a fan of.Overall, I think it is worth trying.

Made a special trip to come try the famous cheese tart and Japanese cheesecake soufflé. Place was empty on a Saturday afternoon. After trying a cheese tart, I can see why there is no one here. It was not very good, runny and not a great balanced flavor of savory and sweet that I expected. Meh!!! I didn't feel like buying anything else here. Walked a block and saw another place selling cheese tarts and cheesecake soufflé. It was hopping. Tried a cheese tart there and it was exactly what I was looking for.

I've always had Castella to go/brought to me and it was cold, and thought, wow, this is some good cheese tart.I so happen to be passing by and thought I could use a nibble before dinner and had this warm in my car. Life changing. Don't laugh, it was like your first kiss. But tasty and super delightful.They need a reward program for Castella.
